I hit the New York Times Bestsellers List with my first short story,
"Jane Austen Meets the New York Giants,"
in the Marlo Thomas anthology
The Right Words at the Right Time: Volume 2.
My husband Ron and our cat Slayer
Note: Although I love my life in Southern California, I'm still a
New York Giants fan. I watch their games every Sunday (or Thursday
or Saturday or Monday) with Ron and our best friend
Marlo Thomas and I: We are at a book signing for TRWRT2
I live with my husband Ron Corcillo in North Hollywood, where I delve into all things Los Angeles: I've co-hosted a syndicated radio show, acted in an award-winning short film, written a screenplay for Roger Corman's Concorde Pictures, picketed during the 2007 Hollywood writers strike, and taught high school in Watts and South Central.
Leave me a note!!
I am a native of Chinchilla, Pennsylvania, and I
graduated from Cornell University, located in
Ithaca, New York. Does Cornell sound familiar?
How 'bout Ithaca? It's where the Cullen Family
moves to in the second Twilight Book, New Moon,
by Stephenie Meyer. Meyer could not have been
more spot on. The weather is so perpetually
gloomy in Ithaca that it provides the ideal
dwelling place for those repelled by
the sun. Thanks to this vampire-compatible
weather, my hair was frizzy for four years.
My Movie Debut!
In 2008, I starred in the 10 minute short film
That is to say, I do voice-over in the film, playing the
Announcer at the beginning and end, as well as Darla in the
story. Daryl From Oncar won Best Comedy Short at the 2009
LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival.
Ted thinks he’s screwed.
He’s just locked his keys in the car. Fortunately, his brand-new fully-loaded 2007 ½ Domestic Minivan comes equipped with OnCar™ – the state-of-the-art on-board navigation/concierge/emergency help system with analog curb-feelers. Ted soon discovers that OnCar™ can do far more than advertised. One touch of that big red button and Daryl can get Ted virtually anything he wants. It’s like Knight Rider for the mid-life-crisis crowd. Daryl from OnCar™ : a story of customer service gone way too far.
